Objective: To make a public health case study that poses an ethical question

1.               case description 

2.               The case study should include at least the following:

a.              Purpose of the research

b.               Context of where the study will take place

c.              Study design and procedures including recruitment, reimbursement, etc

3.               As a group, you will facilitate a conversation amongst your classmates where you will field their questions as they deliberate if this study would be approved or not approved per Belmont principles.

a.              Some questions to think about:

                          i.      Who will be included? Who will be excluded? Why?

                                    ii.      How will consent be obtained? Type of consent?

                                  iii.      What are the methods/procedures to participate

   iv.      What type of incentives will be provided to participants? If not, why not. If yes, what type of incentive? What evidence supports your decision either way

  v.      Who is funding this?

   vi.      What data will be collected? How will data be collected? Who will collect the data? How and who will analyze the data?

    vii.      What are the plans of sharing results? Disposing results?
