Conduct an informal poll of 3 individuals age 39 or younger who are not enrolled in this class to see if they are aware of the EEOC’s Age Discrimination in Employment Act. For each person interviewed, provide their age and the answers to the questions. What are the names and ages of the people you interviewed? How many of the 3 are aware of the ADEA? Of those who are aware of the ADEA, ask them what the specific age at which individuals is begin to be protected from age discrimination. What age did each person say? Why does knowledge or lack of knowledge of the ADEA matter to the people age 39 or younger? Compare and contrast those who are from different age groups. For example, how important was the knowledge of age rights when comparing someone younger versus someone who is older?
