Auditory comprehension is strong at the single word level, but has difficulty following conversation when the topic is not known, when the speech rate is fast and/or vocabulary items are somewhat complex, and sometimes in a group setting. Reading comprehension is fairly good for single words and 2nd-3rd grade level; writing mimicked verbal expression with lots of spelling errors as well as lexical retrieval deficits.
