Get it written →I need a letter of advice writing back to Antiogne on how she can fix her tragic flaw (stubborn loyalty). The play is Antigone by Sophocles.
This is the letter I need to write back to:
Dear Poseidon,
I write to you in distress, for I fear that I may soon meet my end due to my tragic flaw.
You know of my story, how I have been driven to challenge the laws of the state for what I believe to be the greater good. My hamartia is stubborn loyalty as I am so determined to bury my brother, even though no one supports me including my own sister. I fail to consider how my actions might affect my sister and others. Moreover, I will not back down even when I know it could bring harm to me. I understand that this flaw has led to great tragedy in the play, but I am writing to you in the hopes that I can avoid a similar fate. How can I use my strength of will to make the right decisions, while still avoiding the danger that comes with it? While I know that I may be sacrificing my life for this cause, I cannot help but feel that I could have avoided this fate had I been more wise. If there is any advice you could give me, it would be greatly appreciated. How can I avoid experiencing the same tragedy again? Is there a way to balance my convictions and my survival? I beg of you to give me your wise counsel in this moment of great uncertainty. I fear that if I do not take notice of your advice, I may not live to see another day.
Yours faithfully,
Antigone
