Identify and describe People First San Diego’s organizational design.
ORGANIZATIONAL DESIGN
Organizational theory, as well as the specific organization’s mission and strategy, inform its design. Perhaps you have worked for an organization in which the structure was clearly delineated in a chain of command, or alternatively for an organization where roles and authority were less defined, and so decisions were made collectively. These may have been intentional choices during the organizational design process, where the structure, paths of authority, and processes are determined. One resource that is helpful when looking at organizational design is the organizational chart.
In this Assignment, you assume the role of a leader within a fictional organization that you will engage with throughout the course. Here, you explore the design of the People First San Diego organization.
