Looking back at the first week of the class, I went over an improvement plan. My plan was to watch my speed, and stay away from tangents, to stay on course for the speech. I also wanted to improve my ability to give a speech, the anxiety and stress that happens leading up to giving the speech. To be honest, I am completing the speech and from this I can say the anxiety and stress has rolled right in. I have made note cards and the speech outline. Going over both, I feel able to keep a steady tempo and keep a correct tone for the speech. So far I think that the speech outline and going over it before hand is helping a lot. Having the notecards in my hand before giving speech adds a level of security to the actions.
