A patient is 5’8″ tall and weighs 70kg. She needs 1890 kcal, 85g protein, and 1890 ml water daily. She is going to get Jevity 1.5 administered continuously over 24 hours via NGT.

For example, if we said 15% dextrose, 8 %AA @ 40 cc/hr with daily + 10% lipids piggyback @ 25 cc/hr, we would first do 40 ml x 24 hrs = 960 ml of solution…from there you can figure out how many grams of protein will be provided if 8% of the solution is amino acids, and so on.**
Parenteral Prescription 1: macronutrients

Configure a 3- in-one infusion using the following components, w/ a target macronutrient distribution of 14% protein, 56% carbohydrate, and 30% fat. You need to state the volume of each solution to be added to the IV bag.
