Esports

The topic I have chosen is competitive gaming. But because competitive gaming is so broad I want to focus on the esports side of it. Esports has propelled the popularity of gaming as a whole and I feel as if it is worthy of talking about. Esports has made gaming more mainstream and that is important to note. But there is a lot to talk about regarding esports. I know I want to start I want to write about the first esports event which i have found to be a competition on the game Space war. I will also be including fighting games. Most likely focusing on games and Street fighter since I know fighting game competitions have been around for a while. For fps games ill talk about quake as one of the firsts, and then Call of duty and halo. When talking about these I will cover the start of them, how they have advanced and what prize pools look like today, and if I am able to find them i will include player salaries.
