The New York City Public Health Workforce Development Grant

1. GRANT PROPOSAL The New York City Public Health Workforce Development Grant provides $5,000 to support initiatives to enhance the knowledge and skills of future and current public health professionals in New York State related to a specific need (( opioid overdoses or lead poisoning}. The need should be clearly justified using evidence, data, and research. The need may be a gap in current public health practitioner knowledge and skills (i.e., systems thinking or social media as a health communication strategy) or focus on a specific health problem {i.e., opioid overdoses or lead poisoning}. Statement ofNeed Using appropriate data. evidence. and research clearly identify the need that will be addressed through the proposal. Project Description Concisely but comprehensively describe the proposed intervention. Describe (a) the priority population for the intervention, (b) how the intervention will be delivered, (c) how the intervention will be marketed, ((1) who will deliver the intervention. (c) any additional logistics {i.e., location of intervention, length, etc. }, and (fl develop SMART objectives. Evaluation Provide an overview of evaluation strategies that will be implemented to ensure that SMART objectives are achieved and overall effectiveness of the intervention.
