Area 1: Communication |
Why? I find myself describing a situation in detail, which sometimes makes the critical part of the message blurry. I want to be more concise and efficient with how I communicate with others. |
1. Be thoughtful and talk with a purpose.
2. Find my own voice. Being authentic to my values and being original will garner support from my peers.
3. Be conscious of matching my words with my actions. |
1. Be selective in my word choice and be mindful of those around me and how they might interpret my message.
2. Provide clear examples, even personal experiences, to tasks or messages that I want to get across to my peers. Find ways to connect with others in a way that best suits them.
3. Add action to my words. Show those around me that I mean what I say, and that I am in this with them. |

Area 2: Commitment to serving others |
Why? I have a bad habit of thinking about “what’s in it for me” before committing to something. I need to have a mindset of how I can assist someone or a situation without expecting something in return. |
1. Stop trying to do everything myself, and actively seek collaborations with others. 2. Volunteer to do extra work to lighten the load on other peers. 3. Engage in peer relationships. Learn more about those around me, and ask how I can better serve them. 1. Stop trying to do everything myself, and actively seek collaborations with others.

1. Provide others the opportunity to showcase their skills towards the goal. Allow myself to trust that others can complete the task, just as well as I can.
2. Ask how I can help others and act promptly. Show them I am serious about helping them when they need it the most.
3. Engage with peers regularly. Show them that I am present and available. |

Area 3: Becoming more adaptive. Area 3: Becoming more adaptive. |
Why? In certain aspects of my life, I have routines that I rarely break or if I do I tend to become less productive. There will always be unexpected occurrences that require the need to adapt swiftly, and I need to learn how to manage this better. Being able to lead during situations that constantly evolve will enable me to make sound decisions at crucial times. |
1. Look at change as an opportunity to learn something new.
2. Embrace the challenge.
3. Accept that I cannot control everything, learn to only focus on what I can control |
1. Take notes on what went well, and what did not with the opportunity, and share that information with your peers
2. Engage the challenge with positivity. Lead the way with a positive mindset to accomplish the challenge
3. Encourage those around me to focus on what only we can control. Do not waste time on issues that our beyond our control. |
