Have you ever heard about the leblouh in Africa?. The leblouh, is the practice that consists of forcing girls to eat so that they can find a husband. Parents practice leblouh, they force their daughters to eat in large proportions to prepare them for marriage. This tradition begins at 5 years of age and extends to adulthood. Although the leblouh is conceived as a tradition in countries such as Algeria, Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali and Mauritania, many consider it a form of abuse. The belief is that obese girls symbolize prestige and wealth, increase the probability of getting a husband, and have a successful and rich life. Currently, there are some organizations that fight for the abolition of this practice, however, in the same areas where it is spread, it is still seen as something normal
