Scenario
I just got fired from a job at a child care centre, where I had been working for about two months. When my boss first reviewed my work, she said I was doing a great job and I really liked working there.
After that though, she started to act differently towards me. She would often have me leave the classroom to clean the washroom and wash the floor in her office. She also asked me to clean out the garbage from her car and vacuum the seats. I refused knowing that there is a full time cleaner working in the centre, as well as I didn’t see how cleaning her car was related to my job. A few days later she fired me. She said there was no work for me, even though I knew there was. I didn’t get any notice or compensation, she just fired me on the spot and told me to go home. This all feels really wrong. Can she do that? What should I do?
