Wanted –
They yearn for adventure and the excitement of living life to the fullest.
But-
Ueli did not get along with the four boys at the time they were introduced to each other. Khione in particular seemed irritated by her presence. In spite of this, she grew to enjoy their company over time, possibly because she realized they wouldn’t abandon her. But then the four boys discovered the real reason for her enrollment at their school: she was terminally ill and didn’t have more than a few weeks to live.
So –
They had no choice but to accept their predicament. The four boys, especially Khione, encouraged Ueli to seize every opportunity to learn and grow during her brief remaining time.
Then –
Ueli’s condition worsened over time, and the boys were oblivious to the warning signs. Even after it was hopeless, she persisted in concealing the truth. Her sister rushed her to the hospital after she fainted one night due to her weakness. The boys followed up by making sure she was doing okay and found that she was stable. They had assumed that everything was going to be fine, but the doctor’s report indicated otherwise. Ueli woke up, and Khione rushed to see her. Ueli and Khione had a lengthy conversation, but eventually Khione realized that Ueli needed to sleep. Until you’re running out of it, you won’t understand the value of time. In a matter of hours, Khione felt it, and Ueli was declared dead. At precisely twelve o’clock on her birthday. Despite the hardships she endured, she was able to leave with a grin on her face, having learned firsthand that life can be both generous and unforgiving. She hopes her soulmate and other loved ones will be able to let go and accept her death.
