Required to go to the website www.ted.com. narrow search on the website, type “psychology” in the search tool (this is the required search term). choose videos that are about human
psychology, not animal psychology. In addition, it must come from TED, not YouTube. I suggest
you watch about 3 videos before typing this assignment. This will help you get a feel for how
the presentations work and which videos interest you.
1) Summarize the presentation in your own words. What did the presenter say that was
important? In this answer, be sure to include the person’s name and the title of the
presentation. This information is on the website with the video.
2) What did you learn from this presentation?
3) Do you agree or disagree with the information in the presentation?
4) Offer a critique of the presentation and the presenter. How does the person’s words,
voice, visual aids, actions on stage, etc. affect your understanding of the material? This
question will be easier to answer if you watch 3 or more videos.
5) You need to connect this to critical thinking in two ways:
A) How does this apply to critical thinking and yourself (think of the impact the
information has on you)?
B) How does this apply to critical thinking and the world (think of the impact the
information has on the rest of the world)?
6) You will need a Works Cited for the video you watch and any additional research into the
topic.
