The article discusses how anxiety is low on the priority list in many economically disadvantaged communities. Mention is made of the ‘silent sufferer’. Write a persuasive paragraph (or 2) convincing your reader that governments need to take greater action in prioritizing vulnerable areas (and communities) regarding anxious youth What can be done by government to lessen apprehension among young people? Why are youth in low priority areas anxious? How can government address this issue? Convince your reader that you plan is concrete, reasonable and necessary. Purpose: To persuade, convince the reader. Tone: Academic. Formal. Use quotes and paraphrase: – Use only short quotes from the article (6 words or less) Paraphrase. – Use one outside source (make sure it is reliable!) Add a references list with the article/s in correct APA form The persuasive writing must have the following parts: 1. An introduction of at least one sentence. Refer to the article 2. A conclusion. 3. A clear topic sentence. (one sentence, first or second in the writing) 4. At least 1 extended paragraph or 2 shorter paragraphs (approx. 350-400 words) 5.
