Carl Rogers the psychologists

Carl Rogers approaches his theory of behavior from an angle very different than the others we study. Rogers believes that we are naturally good and friendly until society and others we come in contact with cause events that interrupt our naturally born positive nature. Well, what do you think? It is not up to me to agree or disagree with any of these theorists, my job is to make sure that you understand the view of each perspective.

In the news, we hear of many instances of gun violence across the country; schools, concerts, employments, movie theaters, and at random. This topic alone has caused multiple feelings and reactions from society which have been the cause of what Carl Rogers would probably consider external forces to behavior. What is the cause or the impact on behavior for individuals who have had to deal with this matter versus those who have not?

To understand what Rogers wants us to open our mind to is the fact that all people are born happy, and when external forces disrupt that happiness our behavioral process changes how we may think, act, or speak. It is a fact that we do not all experience the same events or experience them in the same way throughout our life leaving different attitudes and behaviors for others to understand.
