No, because the instructor didn’t show up on Saturday of last week on opening hours through the open Zoom link, so I couldn’t get this research question approved. 2. PART TWO: A. Write a justification for using an interdisciplinary approach. There is at least one interdisciplinary approach that can apply to my research question is determine that no single discipline has been able to explain the problem comprehensively or resolve it satisfactorily. Social engineering is a cyber-attack that deceives people into gain unauthorized information. This cyber—attack takes advantage of human error which is why there are security procedures and guidelines that employees and the rest of a company is required to follow. Also there will be laws to regulate cyber- attacks like this as well. Since social engineering requires tricking people to gain information, this can effect the mentality of the employees that were affected by this cyber-attack. B. Incorporate into yourjustification relevant information from the Tables in Ch. 2. In Table 2.3 of Chapter 2, I could justify applying a couple of disciplines from social sciences. This can include disciplines such as psychology, political science, and sociology. People can be affected by social engineering attacks through how it could change their mentality. This could lead to the realm of political science in creating laws and regulations to handle these types of cyber—attacks. Lastly, could lead to how society itself is affected by social engineering.
