Can someone help me figure out if they are right or how to change

In a literary analysis M L A style, I have read all over different ways to use quotations but they are all confusing.  Here are my samples, i have direct quote conversations, paraphrases, etc.  Can someone help me figure out if they are right or how to change??

**Exact sentence** The first sentence, “Her first concern was her family” (Smith 182), the author
