She explained that Sarah and Kim distracted the correctional officers while Joana and Briana entered the bathroom as she was getting ready to take her shower. She became tearful as she explained that Briana held her down by her neck as Joana assaulted her. Stacie explains that she has not been sleeping because she stays awake to ensure no one enters her room, gets nervous when anyone walks behind her, and has flashbacks of the incident. She shares that she feels a little better since she spoke with you about it but wants you to keep the incident a secret so that the other girls on the unit do not retaliate against her for talking about it. The facility counselor later diagnoses Stacie with acute stress disorder.
