The incident was started over a parking space. Mark’s messy divorce is causing him unnecessary stress and vented out on the co-worker that parked their vehicle before he did. The co-worker didn’t want to make that incident escalate even when her other co-worker advices it is the next step.

The manager took the correct response of inviting Mark for the meeting. What the manager did wrong is the way she opened the conversation. She opened up with the incident that Mark was involved and followed up to his performance issues. This irritated Mark more and made him more agitated.

I suspect that Mark went back inside to wreck the office.

– The case is not resolved. Mr. Pierce has conducted sexual harassment towards Maria by violating her personal space and speaking about sensual topic in the workplace. Maria should report this incident immediately to HR and file a formal complain.
