My first goal is to feel less stressed/anxious by being more active which I will do by
using our treadmill for half an hour every other day for a week.
This is “SMART” because it hits all the criteria of a “SMART” goal. It is specific because
I stated in my goal that I will use our treadmill for half an hour every other day for a
week rather than just saying that I will be more active or something along those lines.
It is measurable because I will know that I have reached my goal after I have l
used our treadmill for half an hour every other day for a week. My goal is attainable
because 30min every other day really isn’t that difficult of a task considering that it’s not
every day and that there are 24hours in a day. My goal is realistic/relevant because I am
both willing and able to rake 30 minutes out of my day every other day, to achieve this
goal. My goal is “time-bound” because as I stated, it is only for a week.
Goal two (a hydration goal)
My second goal is to increase my energy levels by drinking 8 cups of water every day
for a week.
This is “SMART” because it hits all the criteria of a “SMART” goal. It is specific because
I stated in my goal that I will drink 8 cups of water every day for a week rather than just
saying that I will drink more water. My goal is measurable because I will know that I
have reached my goal when I successfully drink 8 cups of water, every day for a week.
My goal is attainable because I used to drink 11 cups of water every day so even
though I don’t drink anywhere near that now, I know that I’m capable of drinking a lot
more water than I currently do. My goal is realistic/relevant because I am both willing
and physically able to drink 8cups of water every day for a week. My goal is “timebound”
because as I stated, it’s only for a week.
Goal Three (an environmental wellness goal)
My third goal is to save energy by going around and shutting off all the lights, fans, etc.
that are not being used every day after my family leaves for school and work. I will do
this for a month.
My goal is specific because I specified that it will be for a month, that the ultimate goal is
to save energy, and that I will shut off specifically lights, and fans (and etc.) My goal is
measurable because I will know that I have obtained my goal when the hydro bill is less
than the previous month. My goal is attainable because it is super easy to just run
around and shut off/unplug everything that isn’t being used. My goal is realistic and
relevant because I am both willing and physically capable of running around and
shutting off/unplugging everything that isn’t being used after my family leaves. My goal
is “time-bound” because I specified that my goal has a time frame of a month
