write a newsletter article asking for volunteers to participate in the annual testing of the organization’s disaster response plan

Order Instructions

For this week’s discussion you will write a newsletter article (5-7 paragraphs) asking for volunteers to participate in the annual testing of the organization’s disaster response plan. Your article should explain what an organization level disaster response plan is, why it needs to be tested, and why the efforts of volunteers are needed. This year’s disaster response plan testing will be conducted in concert with your city’s annual disaster exercise for first responders and emergency response organizations. The disaster scenario will involve loss of all utilities for a period of 36 hours. You may find it helpful to research these types of joint tests using https://www.ready.gov or by searching for “community disaster response exercise”.

Remember to submit your discussion response to the Turn It In for Discussions assignment folder. See the forum instructions for more information.

For your critiques, focus on providing suggestions for strengthening the original poster’s newsletter article. Include at least 3 examples and/or content suggestions supported by your own readings (include citations and references for authoritative sources). For full credit, a total of two critiques and two additional responses or follow-up postings are required in addition to your main posting.

You must start a thread before you can read and reply to other thread
