Question Description
I’m working on a health & medical report and need support to help me study.
These are 2 papers, same concept – just a different research article to go along with each paper.
Annotated Bibliography 1 & 2
Select a research article (2 different articles for each bibliography) relevant to your project topic (Obesity in adults: 26 – 50 years of age).
Please be certain that the primary research articles chosen for this assignment represent the following aspects of the problem being investigated: risk factors/causes, negative consequences, treatment, and prevention. Ensuring these aspects are covered through choices for Annotated Bibliographies will be a time saver for the remaining assignments in this course.
Construct the annotated bibliography in 3 sections: the citation, the annotated bibliography, and application.
The citation should be in APA format.
The annotated bibliography should be concise, and accurate. It is written in the active tense and does not include one’s personal opinion. The first sentence of the annotated bibliography should give information regarding the nature of the article. Do not copy sentences verbatim from the article. This is plagiarism. The annotated bibliography should be 1-2 paragraphs in length. The key is for the annotated bibliography to be succinct, yet have enough information for the reader to decide whether s/he wants to read the article in its entirety. This section is similar to describing a research study for a literature review as you did in your Research Methods course.
The application section should include specific information regarding how this article relates to your assigned topic, the Healthy People 2020 objectives, and Sustainability principles.
Additional assessment guidelines can be found on the Annotated Bibliography Grading Rubric. (pasted below) Be sure to review the Annotated Bibliography Grading Rubric before submitting your assignment for assessment purposes.
The Do’s and the Do Not’s for your Annotated Bibliography:
