Like last week, the questions below are based on the following article: Taquet M, et al. 6-month neurological and psychiatric outcomes in 236379 survivors of COVID-19: a retrospective cohort study using electronic health records. Based on data in Table 1 (columns 2 and 3 again), consider the following three exposures and the outcome of COVID-19 related hospitalization:
nicotine dependence
overweight and obesity
asthma
For each exposure, complete the following table:

2.For each exposure, estimate and interpret the odds ratio. Show your work.
3.Using the appropriate shortcut formula, estimate attributable risk among the exposed for each of the three exposures above. Show your work.
4.Using data from the “All patients” column to derive Ppopulation exposed, use the appropriate formula to estimate population attributable risk percent for each of the three exposures. Show your work.
5.Based only on your answer to (4), how would you prioritize public health resources to reduce the likelihood of COVID-19 hospitalization? What assumption are you making if you are using data from (4) to answer this question?
