The article that I have chosen to discuss is titled Midlife Crisis in Men and Women: How to Find Your Silver Lining written by the author named Deborah Weatherspoon, in February 2019. The article discusses the issue of midlife crisis in both males and females whereby there is a difference a long time ago in how the midlife crisis was defined as there were differences between both gender norms and thus having women being disappointed and disoriented as per the relational changes but for makes it was more of career. This article further explains the midlife crisis issue of having a failure of the plan in both genders whereby its noted to be having different factors which are noted to affect the life plan for both males and females irrespective of race and country of origin. The article provides some of the strategies which would be employed that would help on having the life plan being attained such as having good time management, reconnecting with nature, getting advice from the friend and family members, and getting advice from life motivational speakers and life coaches thus helping on reorganizing oneself (Deborah Weatherspoon, 2019).

The midlife crisis is noted to be having different effects on the youth Americans and Africans whereby in Africa majority of youth suffers a lot from the midlife crisis whereby different factors are noted to be contributing to this issues difference. These factors contributing to the differences include inadequate access to quality education, issues of food security and water shortages, lack of quality education access, issues relating to family conflicts, insecurity issues, unequal sharing of government resources within leaders, failed policies on youth plans, and many more. This explains why the majority of Americans would experience lesser midlife crisis issues as compared to the person from African Americans where there are the majority of issues experienced that are affecting the youths on their life current and plans which are faced with major challenges (Markson & Gognalons-Nicolet, 2020).
