Task: As an exercise of synthesis of your acquisition of subject content knowledge,

you will assess one case study and then answer the accompanying questions.

Please see the questions appended below.

Submit the report through Turnitin plagiarism check software in UTSOnline. This will

generate for the assessor a report of the similarity index to determine the originality

of the content or the extent of plagiarism.

Each student is assigned a specific case study. Swapping of topics is NOT allowed.

If your name is not on the list, please email me. The diagnoses have been provided

and therefore, there is no need to prove the diagnosis or to request additional

diagnostics.

Maximum word count: 500 words (excluding the questions and references)

Criteria: This case study analysis will be assessed based on the clarity and logic of

the explanations in response to the questions. Please refer to the rubric in

UTSOnline

Questions to answer based on the case study (below):

(1) What are the symptoms (experienced by the patient like chest pain) and signs

(observed by another person like swelling or redness) that are consistent with the

diagnosis?

(2) What are the organs, tissues and/or body parts that are involved or affected by

the homeostatic disturbance?

(3) What processes are involved that can explain the homeostatic disturbance/s in

the case study?
