Develop a social engineering attack strategy of your professor. NOTE: This is NOT a real attack – there will be no implementation 🙂 Describe what you believe would be an effective strategy against your professor to elicit confidential/ protected information? Why do you think this approach would succeed?

Reverse the target – consider yourself and the information footprint you leave behind. Conduct a search on yourself and what information publicly exists out there about you that can be used to profile you and get you to divulge sensitive information. In an abstract way, describe what you found out? Were you surprised by how much/ how little you found? What could you do to better protect your information?
Identify a breach that interests you and provide a detailed breakdown of the attack. How did was it launched, how long did it take to identify, and how has the organization responded since?
What are the ethical considerations behind adopting a honeypot approach for security? Do you see this as a form of entrapment – why or why not?
Choose a particular malware or security threat technique discussed in the lecture videos, break the topic down and highlight a real world instance of its use (if possible). Have we figured out a way to thwart it? If so, explain.
After completing the second step of the Delphi activity, how do you see the initial ranking and rationale functioning? What questions do you have about how Delphi’s are conducted? NOTE: Please avoid discussing the specific risks since the technique requires independent assessment. Please focus on the process in this discussion question.
