After-Action Report (AAR)
After watching theUnit VI Assignment Video, reading the unit lesson, and reading the two AARs, you should have a great idea on how you want to design the assignment. The assignment consists of you writing an AAR for an event that occurred after 2018 to the present. Identify the event and begin your research.
Utilize theARR Templateto use for this assignment. You will complete all relevant information identified by the red font; the green font is part of the template and may be left unedited. Once you complete this AAR, you will return all of the font to black, and keep the current style and size.
Body:
Complete a security risk assessment (SRA) on the target prior to the incident. (Use the template demonstrated in previous lessons).
Complete a media plan.
Provide an in-depth review of the incident in chronological order.
Identify three things that went well, three things that did not, and three recommendations for the future.
Add images, maps, charts, etc. to your AAR. (Optional)
Format:
Your completed AAR should be at least six pages in length. Be sure to include the background, security risk assessment of target, media relations plan, recommendations, and a conclusion. Two appendices are required—a security risk assessment (SRA) and a media plan. Images and charts may be used at your discretion.
APA formatting is not required for this AAR, but professional/post-academic writing will be expected. If outside sources are used, please adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment.
