2. Why have you chosen this occasion? To live an experience that I have always dreamed of experiencing.
3. What is your purpose? The purpose of the speech is to promote creativity, create a better and a focused team and to validate the employees.
4. What is your central theme? To greet the coworkers and all those who joined the event and to announce and celebrate the new launch of the product.

Purpose: In this assignment, you are asked to prepare and deliver a 3-5 minute organized ceremonial speech. Special occasion speeches are some of the most common speeches people have to give in their daily lives. Understanding how to compose and deliver an effective special occasion speech is an important skill to have in your pocket. Here, creativity, style, and personality must shine through. During this speech, you should: Deliver a ceremonial speech Create presence in your speech through aesthetics and delivery. Apply the basic principles of speech organization. Be able to analyze the context (i.e. the rhetorical situation) of your speech Be able to identify and reinforce shared beliefs and values for specific contexts Apply the different goals for the different types of Ceremonial Speeches
Assignment: You a specific special occasion. This can be about anything, but it cannot be directly related to this class. It is recommended (but not required) that the speech is a realistic situation, and not a situation that no one would ever be in. Make sure to look over Requirements: Speak for 3-5 minutes in front of your live audience
• Write and turn in an outline or manuscript of the speech to Safe Assign. I don’t have strict expectations for the outline here. Just a general idea of what your main points and structure are will work. References are not necessary for this speech.
• Use 3-5 notecards as you speak
• Upload your speech video before the due date Suggestions: Have fun! This final speech is an opportunity to focus on the rhetorical situation and show the use of speaking skills developed this semester in a creative and individual speech of your choice.
• Be appropriate! A tribute can sometimes turn into a “roast,” which is fine so long as it does not offend one of your classmates.
