The article looks at the epidemiological characteristics of accidental needle-stick injuries among primary healthcare professionals in Zenica, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. The study found that most needle-stick injuries occurred among female health care professionals, and the most common type of injury was a puncture wound. The study also found that the majority of needle-stick injuries were caused by needles that had been used on patients with infectious diseases (Sivic et al, 2020).

The process indicator or outcome indicator used to measure quality is the percentage of health care professionals suffering from accidental needle stick injuries. The percentage of health care professionals who suffer from accidental needle stick injuries is not an effective measure of the problem. This is because the percentage does not consider the total number of health care professionals exposed to needle stick injuries. It is possible that a large number of healthcare professionals have been exposed to needle stick injuries. Still, the percentage is low because the total number of health care professionals is small.

Several economic, legal, and regulatory processes can affect a healthcare initiative’s quality. One economic process that can affect the quality is funding. If a healthcare initiative does not have adequate funding, it may not be able to provide the necessary resources to maintain high-quality standards. A legal process that can affect the quality is regulation. Healthcare initiatives that are not properly regulated may not be held to the same quality standards as other businesses. A regulatory process that can affect the quality is accreditation. If a healthcare initiative is not accredited, it may not be able to provide the same level of care as other accredited institutions (Gajarawala et al, 2021). A way to monitor and measure one aspect of my current practice is to use a checklist. This will help to ensure that you are completing all of the necessary tasks and will also help to improve your efficiency.
