Write a 200 word analysis.

I’d recommend that you first write your response in Microsoft Word or an equivalent software – that way it can notify you of any possible writing errors. Specifics from the Primary Document. Make sure to really highlight and expand at least one point, or aspect, of the Primary Document. You don’t need to summarize the whole document, instead you can set up in a sentence what the PD is about, then narrow the focus to one specific part of it. Explain it, provide analysis of it, then add a quotation to help emphasis it. By doing this it’ll also address the next issue.
Use of Quotations. Quotations are meant to be used to support the evidence you are using to support your argument, they aren’t supposed to be the evidence themselves. Therefore, make sure you aren’t having the quotation do all the heavy lifting. Essentially don’t just say: “Here is my point because the primary sources says ‘quotation.'” You have to set the stage for the quotation.
Notice that in the Sample, there is set up that leads into the quotation. See how they compliment each other.
Responding to your peers. Don’t critic their formatting, or how they go about doing the assignment, that is my job. You just need to respond to the substance of their post.
Additionally, there are plenty of different ways of doing this assignment. My sample is but one way to do that, it is not a set-in-stone format. Write your discussion response how you want to write it as long as it has the main three requiremen
Summary question. To have you select Secondary Sources (minimum of TWO) and begin your summation and analyze of their content. (Roughly 3-5 pages). Write out a summary of the secondary sources (what is it about? What was going on? How do the primary source (or pairings) fit with the time period? What context does the secondary sources provide for the primary sources?) NOTE: You’re not writing the paper here, you’re scribbling down your initial thoughts – therefore I’m not looking at grammar here, or formatting. You can have it all be in whatever outline form you want. If the whole thing is in bullet points then that’s perfect – BUT it needs to be fully written out, I’m expecting an in-depth breakdown of the secondary sources. I suggest that you word vomit whatever information you learned from the secondary sources and write down any words or phrases that catch your eye (don’t worry about proper spelling, or if it is grammatically or historically correct, just get words on the paper), and don’t leave anything out.
