- Your work and projects are undeniable proof of your skills – You deserve to be recognized for it. Portfolium is where you’ll upload your work, projects, presentations and more. Tens of thousands of employers use Portfolium to find your work and hire you for more than just your GPA.
- Companies are using Portfolium to hire students and alumni that have proof of their skills on display (you’ll be recruited by the nation’s top employers). Tens of thousands of employers use Portfolium to match their jobs and internships to the skills in students’ and graduates’ Portfolium profiles. There’s an entire interface for employers to do this efficiently across the entire network.
- Your Professors and Classmates have access to Portfolium. Tag your classmates and friends as connections and teammates on group projects. Be inspired and learn from others across all majors and fields of study. Like and comment on the portfolios of others to show your appreciation for their hard work.
The process of adding content to your portfolio uses the “Add work” function in Portfolium. Keeping in mind all the resources you have reviewed above, start adding your relevant work or academic experiences. For each entry, include one or more of the following skills areas which you believe the work demonstrates:
- Project Management
- Research
- Business Communications
- Critical Thinking
- Problem Analysis
You can include any other skills you think relevant, especially any technology skills the work demonstrates, but you must include at least one from the list above.
Add a hashtag of #APL410 to each entry. This will make it easier to find all the entries associated with the course. For “Sharing” on each entry, you can select “Public” or “Only my connections.” This allows your instructor and fellow students to review and comment on your portfolio. You can’t mark the entry “Private.” Continue doing this until you have added all the desired work and course experience.
DIRECTIONS
- ADD TO your Porfolium Account (if you created one from another WilmU course) any skills or evidence that you should add to your Portfolium Account by clicking on the Portfolium link on the left sidebar of Canvas and logging in.
- OR CREATE your Portfolium account by first watching the video below and then adding your skills and evidence.

- Add your link to the discussion board.
