Being able to present a powerful presentation is an essential leadership skill. The success of any business strategy or initiative depends on the understanding and buy-in of all stakeholders. General managers secure that understanding and buy-in through carefully planned and implemented communications. This week’s challenge is to develop a communication and culture plan, formatted in a presentation, to support your Project Charter’s strategies and initiatives.

Develop a 15- to 20-slide media-rich Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation with detailed speaker notes to present to the Dollar Tree board and the executive team. Ensure you:

Explain what has to happen to the organization’s culture to integrate these two organizations to support your Project Charter strategies, initiatives, mission and values. How are the two cultures similar and how are they different?

Recommend specific ways to use symbols, rites, ceremonies, and stories to drive the cultural integration of the two companies.

Determine the most important messages should be designed to drive the culture change and the business integration of the two companies.

Determine and analyze audiences for the key messages. What does each stakeholder group need to know, feel, and believe for the integration to succeed? 

Determine the media/channel. For each audience, determine the media/channels to be used in the communication effort. 

Recommend a timeline for communications. Plan for 3 to 5 messages for each stakeholder group.
