The purpose of this assignment is to determine your ability to comprehend and summarize
prevailing concepts in Public Relations and to connect those with sport. This assignment is
designed to provide practical experience related to organizational support for community and
connecting to publics on issues important to their community.

1. Provide an executive summary of your plan (See example Section I.).
2. Choose a cause and provide rationale for why it is relevant to the community you
are working in (See example Section II.).
3. Develop your promotional plan with some unique ideas that would have an impact
and select local media and the rationale on why they are a good choice (can be from
other projects if using same community)(See example Section III.). You do not need
to provide rationale for media you did not select as seen in the example.
4. Describe how the campaign will come to life and individual’s responsibility for
implementation (See example Section IV.). You do NOT need to provide
