Successful teamwork is a key to leadership

You will need to upload your presentation under the assignment.

Successful teamwork is a key to leadership. Analyzing group dynamics provides the laboratory to analyze the skills, theories, and principles learned in this course. This presentation is an opportunity to practice leadership and should demonstrate a highly nuanced application of learning related to understanding effective leadership in a variety of contexts.

The Powerpoint or Prezi presentation should provide an in-depth look at leadership as practiced in a historically based film selected by the student. While the presentation should frame the movie in time, students should focus the vast majority of the presentation on identifying and critiquing the characters, plot, sub-plot, and historical context as it relates to as the Relational Leadership Model, Social Change Model, and other important concepts from the course. The film timeline and critique do not need to be separate, and may best be presented by being intertwined, however the focus should be on leadership analysis and not re-telling the plotline.

Since the films are reenactments of historical events, it is expected that additional research will be done to triangulate the story in an historical global context and provide a richer understanding of the leadership concepts in play. This research will also serve as an opportunity for the student to further analyze relational leadership.

The Historical Movie/Film Presentation should be submitted in a PowerPoint or Prezi format and creativity is highly encouraged!
