Discussion: Final Project—Immersion Project Presentation

As mentioned last week, your Immersion Project presentation is a chance to reflect on and disseminate your findings from your immersion experience. For this Discussion, you will disseminate your findings to your classmates.

TO PREPARE

• Review your Course Announcements for possible information related to this week’s Discussion.
• Reflect on your immersion experience and how you would describe the culture you selected based on what you learned.

BY DAY 4

Post a brief (no more than a few sentences) description of your selected immersion culture. Attach your Immersion Project PowerPoint presentation to your Discussion post. Be sure also to write the name of the culture you focused on in the subject line of your post.

BY DAY 6

After reviewing your colleagues’ narrated presentations, respond to at least two of your colleagues’ presentations in one or more of the following ways:

• Expand on your colleagues’ ideas and experiences by offering a new perspective or insight you gained from viewing their presentations.
• Provide additional supporting information for consideration related to their chosen cultures.
• Compare cultural norms or considerations of your colleagues’ selected cultures with those of the one you researched during your immersion experience.
