The Pacific Century – Wenting LuoContains unread postsWenting Luo posted Jul 13, 2022 11:30 PMSubscribe· During the Meiji period, the Japanese government established state capitalism to aid industrial and commercial development. World War I helped Japan’s economy to export and industrial production began to introduce manufacturing technology. All four economies of the Asian Tigers were driven by exports and rapid industrialization, and economic levels have grown rapidly since the 1960s. Because of their high emphasis on exports, coupled with the fact that the masses were slowly becoming well educated, the entire population drove economic development.· These countries respect the beliefs of ethnic and religious groups. Integration of religious knowledge into the political, economic, and cultural life of the country by opening colleges where they can learn to develop skills. The contribution of religious and other minority groups to politics and the economy is crucial to nation-building.· The most common environmental problem in Japan is the waste generated by modern life. Various environmental issues, such as transboundary air pollution and desertification, marine conservation, etc., are now being addressed through multilateral environmental cooperation in Asia.I believe that such a situation has arisen because of the overemphasis on industrial development leading to the neglect of environmental damage. The country has been dependent on oil, mining, and other natural resources, which has also led to an invisible increase in the burden on the environment.less
