This scene should have some substance and be longer than 1:30 minutes (2:30 minutes with a partner). You will show the scene from YouTube or another streaming service and then analyze the scene.

1. Composition

o How is the imagery arranged? Camera angles, movement, etc.

o Low angles, High angles, Frames, Color, Balance, etc.

2. Influence

o Can you find any influence from older Films/Directing styles?

3. Sound

o Are we hearing Diegetic (Sounds that make sense in the scene) or Non-Diegetic (Sounds Effects, Voice Over or Music)

4. Mise-En-Scène

o Everything in the frame that has a purpose; (Props, Costume, Lighting, Setting, Makeup, etc.)
