A Phenomenology of Invisibility

For your second reflection paper, pick two thinkers discussed in class and compare their ideas.
Give a basic introduction to the readings (no more than one page) and talk about the similarities
and differences between them. You should also discuss their philosophical significance within
the context of class discussions as well as contemporary relevance. You must use quotes from our
readings to support your reflections.

FORMATTING GUIDELINES
• Include a cover page with author information and a title.
• 12–point Times New Roman font, 1” margins, double–spaced, paginated.
• At least 1500 words, about 6 pages (include final word count at the end of the paper).
• Chicago style in–line citations with author’s surname, year published, and page cited.
E.g.: (Mills 2000, 38).
• Footnotes with bibliography in correct Chicago format.
• If you are using a foreign term, italicize it. You do not need to italicize proper names in
Chinese. For example: aretē, technē, xin, dao; but Shandong (Confucius’ native home),
Yan Hui (one of his disciples).
