It is the belief, values, and practices that unite a group of people into a single culture. Language, religion, food, and clothes are all examples of cultural diversity. A melting pot is the metaphor that most accurately describes our civilization. Our membership includes people from a wide range of backgrounds and areas of life. Freedom, justice, and equality are all principles that we have in common with one another, and this brings us together. We are strong believers in the transformative potential of learning and the value of contributing positively to the communities in which we live. We are a culture that prioritizes spending time with family and places a high priority on maintaining a healthy work-life balance. We hold our traditions and our heritage in the highest regard. We place a high importance on individual liberty and think that everyone should be given the chance to follow their ambitions. We are a culture that places a high value on justice and is dedicated to advocating for the rights of all individuals. We have faith in the transformative potential of education and its ability to empower individuals. Giving something back to the communities in which we live and working to make the world a better place is extremely important to us.

I’m going to initiate with this question; What is culture? Culture is characteristic ideas, traditions, social forms and content features of a set group of individuals, country or social group. There are many cultures in the world and some of these cultures seem to be a big pill for some people to swallow. Because these cultures are so diverse from their own, they consider that those traditions are inferior to their own. People assume a person, or a set group of people is less than they are, they began to treat them as such. Occasionally, they don't do too much, but that subconscious reflection makes them do or say things that continue to put these people down and misunderstand who they are. This privilege is the reason why so much black and brown individuals are constantly getting the short end of the stick. This issue is a series matter and shouldn't be taken lightly although it has been for quite some time.

My voice is shaped by my culture, experiences and upbringing. I am the daughter of Cuban immigrants, and I am the first person in my family to attend college / university. Because of this, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges that my parents and other members of our community endure. I have also seen the strength and resilience of my community. I came from a working-class family and grew up in a poor area. These experiences have shaped my voice and my commitment to social justice.

In my writing, I often write about my experiences as a first-generation college / university student and the experiences of my community. I also write about the importance of education and social justice. I believe that every person deserves access to a quality education. It was interesting to me that the section on "Individualism and Collectivism" described the different perspectives on education held by societies that are individualistic and societies that are collectivist. In societies that value individualism, education is seen as a means of assisting people in achieving success on their own, whereas in societies that value collectivism, education is seen as a means of assisting communities in achieving success.

This passage piqued my interest because it prompted me to reflect on the individualistic nature of the society in which I live, which is the United States. Many people view education as a means by which they can improve their position in life, and as a result, there is a lot of competition to get into the best schools. On the other hand, I have also lived in collectivist societies, such as China, where receiving an education is regarded as a means of contributing to the prosperity of the community. Education is viewed as a means of assisting individuals in meeting the expectation that they will do what they can to contribute to the betterment of the community.

Because I've lived in both individualistic and collectivist societies, this section is relevant to the experiences I've had in my own life.
