You may want to read some editorials to get a feel for what is expected. The letter must be in business letter format (pg. 39 in the reader) and addressed to the editor of a real newspaper. Criteria: clearly addresses audience and purpose and use of appropriate tone. Make sure you include contact information, phone number or email address. Electronic submission required in Microsoft Word (doc or .docx) or PDF. Other formats- Google Docs, Pages, Works, etc. are not accepted. No emailed copy.
*Note: Three (3) bonus points if you submit it and the newspaper acknowledges it or it is printed. Points must be collected by the last day of class to be accepted.
