You are the go to person in your organization on assessment and have been asked to make a presentation at your organizations professional development day. Your organization can vary; you may be an employee working in K-12, higher education, or in the corporate sector. The people who work in your organization know about assessment; however, they need some major clarification about key concepts in assessments. The topic you were given by the organizer is Different Types of Assessments and Their Many Uses.
In your presentation, be sure to address the following:
Organize your material around the main ideas of the week (indirect versus direct assessment and formative versus summative assessment).
Explain key definitions and vocabulary.
Explore six specific assessment tools or methods.
Explain the uses of these assessment tools or methods as well as the pros/cons of each.
Prepare a 10 to 15-minute presentation clearly organizing your response for the audience. Your presentation should:
When you are finished with your PowerPoint, use the Create Video Note section of the assignment submission area to provide an audio overview of your assignment.
