DONT DO THE VIDEO JUST SENT THE IMAGE AND WHAT I CAN SAY IN IT, AND I RECORD IT

Instructions: 

Take a look around the campus at UCF – OR SOMEWHERE CLOSE TO YOUR HOME. 

Look for and at all of the artwork you can see.
 

Take a look in some of the galleries on campus or stuff at the library or artwork that's outside. 

OR GALLERIES, LIBRARY AND GARDENS ETC AROUND YOUR HOME

Study the architecture or gardens ( or roads, ponds etc….). 
Find Deliberate artwork (as opposed to nature or natural art)
Discover where there was an artist….and that artist had to make some decisions. 

Research the area.  Sports areas, buildings, paintings, sculpture, temporary shows, permanent exhibits.  Artwork is everywhere.

PICK A PIECE OR TWO OF ARTWORK.
Record a VIDEO
(Not a piece of your artwork…or a friend's….THIS  should be created by someone you don't know)

Using the examples of the visual components that we spoke about this week:
space, line, shape, tone, color, movement, and rhythm.

Decide how some of them were used in the artwork.  What does that mean? 
Look up and research on the internet to discover some of these yourself.  Look at artwork online.

Please take a look with a critical eye. Can you see the components in terms of
Contrast and Affinity?

Ask yourself some questions? Take some pictures…take some movie shots.
What visual components can you find in the art?  How did the artist use them? How many are there?
How does the use of this help to tell the story of this art?  How can you get it?  How can the artist have done it better?
What can be done ?

WHAT TO DO

1. Make a 1 minute video (60 seconds) that describes a few of the visual components that you found.  LET US SEE IT. Give us a compelling reason why you think so.  Describe what you see….and Discuss how it might work for the artwork or the storytelling or the venue. (The video should be NO longer than 75 seconds….NO shorter than 60 seconds)
