PROJECT STEPS
You are developing a presentation for students learning about Credit Union University, a nonprofit resource for student loans. Start by applying the custom theme from the file Support_NP_PPT16_2b_CU-U.pptx, available for download from the SAM website, to all slides in the presentation.
Insert a footer as follows:
a. Display the date and time to update automatically.
b. Enter the following footer text:
Federal Credit Union
c. Display the footer on all slides except the title slide. (Hint: Use the Don’t show on title slide check box in the Header & Footer dialog box.)
On Slide 2 (“We Understand the Challenges”), use the content placeholder on the right to insert the picture Support_NP_PPT16_2b_Aid.jpg, available for download from the SAM website.
With Slide 2 still displaying, add an animation to the bulleted list (not the list title) as follows:
d. Apply the Split Entrance animation to the bulleted list.
e. Change the direction of the animation to Horizontal Out.
On Slide 3 (“Are You Under a Bad Spell?”), insert and format a shape as follows:
f. Above the frog and coin picture, insert a Cloud shape from the Basic Shapes section of the Shapes gallery.
g. Flip the shape horizontally.
h. Resize the shape to a height of 2.2" and a width of 2.0".
i. Add the text Turn back into a prince or princess to the shape.
j. Apply the Subtle Effect – Blue-Gray, Accent 5 shape style.
k. Use Smart Guides to align the middle of the cloud shape with the middle of the title placeholder and the middle of the shape with the middle of the picture of frog and coin, as shown in Figure 1 below.
Figure 1: Aligning the Shape on Slide 3

l. Change the fill color of the arrow to Teal, Accent 3, Lighter 40% (7th column, 4th row of the Theme Colors palette).
m. Change the weight of the arrow’s outline to 2¼ pt.
With Slide 4 still displaying, modify the animations as follows:
n. Remove the animation from the picture of the map.
o. Apply the Wheel Entrance animation to the “How does your state compare?” arrow shape.
p. Change the Start setting of the Wheel animation to After Previous.
q. Use the Animation Painter to copy the animation from the “How does your state compare?” arrow shape to each of the following shapes:
· “90 days or more” arrow shape
· “US average 11.7%” arrow shape
· “Payments do not reflect salary” arrow shape
r. Decrease the duration of the animation on the “How does your state compare?” arrow shape to 00.50 to engage the viewer’s attention.
On Slide 5 (“Which Age Group Owes the Most?”), insert a registered trademark symbol (®) immediately after the “r” in text “Inspector”.
On Slide 6 (“Credit Union U Can Help”), use the content placeholder on the right to insert the video Support_NP_PPT16_2b_Shred.mov, available for download from the SAM website.
With Slide 6 still displaying, set playback options for the inserted video as follows:
s. Set the video to start automatically.
t. Set the video to loop until stopped.
u. Change the volume to Mute.
On Slide 7 (“Students Taking Federal Loans”), use the content placeholder to insert a table with two columns and five rows, and then enter the data shown in Table 1 below.
