Monitor Performance and Achieve Regulatory/Compliance
Taking precautions and adhering to regulations
Accreditation for Security
Performance Evaluations
Knowledge exchange and regulatory oversight
Safety precautions and compliance standards of behavior and regulations will be used by each organization to monitor performance measures. Concerns about compliance, development and skills, supervision, patient interactions, ethical violations, criminal prosecutions, environmental workplace safety, and a description of regulatory requirements are among the topics covered. It will be difficult to ensure adherence with emerging regulatory standards. These organizations must understand the disciplines and collaboration when developing appropriate ways and strategies for managing risk exposures. When establishing regulatory alternatives, it's critical to follow an organized strategy that considers why the regulations are being implemented, what the regulations' component elements are, and how the regulations will fit into a comprehensive solution practice. Collaboration with similar companies in relation to information and regulatory tracking can also help these organizations' comprehensive regulatory change control systems succeed. To achieve accreditation adherence, each organization should use a security certification. The decision to allow an information system to run is made by management. By accrediting a data system, a government representative expressly remains responsible for any negative effects on organizations in terms of the system's established project risks. The certification records serve as the basis for making a security accredited certification determination. To make reliable, threat choices on whether to permit network operation, administrators need the most comprehensive, thorough, and accurate information possible . There are practical ways that these organizations can use to increase overall performance. Personnel might be motivated to work successfully and productively by measuring performance and career advancement. As a result, organizational performance improves. In an organization, performance assessment and incentive systems determine priorities, of important areas. Employees will concentrate on productivity that receives rewards; therefore, this is critical. Organizational performance may also be characterized by assessing service quality and comprehending the organization's customer quality. Customers can get value from a dependable service because they know they will get it on time, at the expected timeframe, and at a high quality of performance. Because organizational change is unavoidable, major success factors and key metrics should be updated to reflect the modifications' requirements.

Describe ways each organization will communicate with leadership to ensure alignment of organizational goals
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Care Station Medical Group Clinic
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
VITAS Healthcare
The Joint Commission
Releases information regarding health standards that must be followed by healthcare organizations and strongly recommended for the public
Holds monthly meetings with all staff to go over any new expectations, ideas, and changes that can potentially affect a company
Requires ongoing education and training for all staff that reinstates regulations and guidelines that withhold expectations that align with healthcare organizations
Allows for employees to create a work environment that is consistent with company visions to keep communication open
Performs audits for healthcare facilities that choose to receive accreditation from the organization
Healthcare organizations communicate with the leadership of medical facilities to ensure that they align with organizational goals in order to ensure compliance and that all things are communicated in alignment with risk management efforts. Communication is key for organizations to be able to complete such a wide range of communication, especially to do so effectively. “Communication is a vital management component to any organization. To be successful, organizations should have comprehensive policies and strategies for communicating with their constituencies, employees and stakeholders as well as with the community at large. Most HR professionals and organizational leaders agree that linking corporate communication to business strategy is essential to effective and consistent business operations” (Simons, 2021). As a group we chose to look at five different healthcare organizations: the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Care Station Medical Group clinic, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, VITAS Healthcare, and the Joint Commission. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention releases information regarding health standards that must be followed by healthcare organizations and strongly recommended for the public. Just like we saw in the COVID-19 pandemic and the effective means of communications shown by the CDC. The Care Station Medical Group clinic holds monthly meetings with all staff to go over any new expectations, ideas, and changes that can potentially affect a company. These meetings allow for an open environment where risk management efforts can be expressed and practiced comfortably. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia requires ongoing education and training for all staff that reinstates regulations and guidelines that withhold expectations that align with healthcare organizations. Ongoing training that is required on all levels help to keep staff strong and able to stay steady through obstacles. VITAS Healthcare allows for employees to create a work environment that is consistent with company visions to keep communication open. Keeping values strong within a company is important, even in the face of change. This shows stability and ability within a healthcare organization. The Joint Commission performs audits for healthcare facilities that choose to receive accreditation from the organization. There are many regulations and guidelines that are required in order to receive recognition from the Joint Commission, however this tamp of approval shows that the medical facility is more than capable of providing excellent care.

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
VITAS Healthcare
The Joint Commission
Utilize science and medicine in order to publish safe protocols that also align with organizations such as the American Medical Association
Allows staff to openly communicate in meetings about ideas for improvement and how to better manage risks
Provides risk management exercises in all trainings that practice measures that are required by organizations
Openly allows staff in find ways to implement risk management methods that uniquely fit the company
Provides guidelines and recommendations that must be followed and is ensured through audits
Each healthcare organization will focus on their own goals and outcomes for their specific company. Within our group, we each chose five different healthcare organizations which all focus on different ideas, however each focus on the same spectrum of needing to be within compliance for regulatory and accreditation bodies to recognize these organizations. The healthcare organizations we chose are the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Care Station Medical Group Clinic, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, VITAS Healthcare, and the Joint Commission. These are all considered healthcare organizations however they all have different means of communicating their needs as it relates to compliance and standards. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the CDC utilizes science and medicine in order to publish safe protocols that also align with organizations such as the American Medical Association. The CDC takes in all information and creates a game plan that is strongly suggested to be followed in order to prevent the spread of dangerous diseases or effectively practice medicine. The Care Station Medical Group Clinic allows staff to openly communicate in meetings about ideas for improvement and how to better manage risks. This allows staff members to feel comfortable and to be able to talk through following risk management suggestions. The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia provides risk management exercises in all trainings that practice measures that are required by organizations. When organizations require this kind of practice, it ensures that staff is aware of expectations and compliance which will reflect in their work. VITAS Healthcare openly allows staff in find ways to implement risk management methods that uniquely fit the company. By utilizing this method of ensuring compliance, companies can make sure their methods are not forced and fit their exact goals. The Joint Commission or JHCAO provides guidelines and recommendations that must be followed and is ensured through audits. These audits will communicate whether a medical facility is within compliance and practicing effective medicine. Even though all methods of communications and practice of compliance as it relates to regulatory and accreditation requirements is different between each healthcare organization, they are all effective in achieving awareness.

With risk management and quality management systems in place they need to work with the performance management system as well, risk and quality are what outcomes are required and relied on to make sure regulations are being adhered to and quality of care is above standard. In the healthcare facilities that were discussed this week like the joint commission, Care Station Medical Group, Vitas healthcare, Chop and the CDC all have policies in place that directly correlate from risk management to performance management, the reason being is all of these systems need to work together to achieve the best possible outcome for the patient and adhere to the requirements of the facility to provide safe and efficient working environments. With proper training and educational materials like employee handbooks and continuous education for staff this provides information and guidelines of staff performance evaluations that hold them accountable after risk or quality management protocols may not have been adhered to.

Each individual organization has a risk management system in place and will build on that system in order to stay within regulation or go above the standard. With the healthcare facilities within our team assignments we can see strict regulations that include HIPAA and clinical trial regulations with these types of regulations in place it sets a precedence for the performance management system, for example CHOP has direct Standard Operating procedures in place for each department within the facility that dictates how performance and quality of care is delivered and completed. When risk management and quality management work with performance expectations it can provide an easier transition on evaluations, accreditations and monitoring for ways to improve, correct actions and give guidance on how to proceed if errors are made.
