Literary Analysis

There are many themes and topics addressed in A Raisin in the Sun. Write about one topic or theme Hansberry addresses. Try to either find a fresh angle on a common topic or approach the text from an angle that is less often pursued. Fresh insights and original thoughts matter here. Be sure to see the video on How to Write About Literature for information on how to write a thesis about a topic. You will want to develop your discussion of this theme by discussing 3-4 specific moments in the drama.

Paper requirements:
Paper must be 3-4 pages.
Paper must be formatted according to APA or Turabian standards. (Excellent sources to help with paper formatting and citation styles can be found at the SEU Library Lib guides.)
Paper must discuss both the content and language of the drama. To this end, some quotations must be incorporated into the discussion. Paper must include a reference page. (The reference page is in addition to the 3 to 4-page requirement.) The reference page should include the drama and any other sources the student uses to write his or her paper.
