As we approach the end of our course, we’ll spend the next two weeks considering the career and legacy of the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg, one of the most well-known and influential Supreme Court justices of the last generation.

This week, you are asked to read about Justice Ginsberg’s advocacy, as spotlighted in the recent book Justice, Justice Thou Shalt Pursue. You are also asked to view the popular documentary about Justice Ginsburg and her career, “RBG.”

For the DB this week, please provide your reflections on Justice Ginsburg’s legacy as an advocate. What, in your view, is the significance of her advocacy? What legacy has it left? And what aspects of it in your view (if any) do you think are at risk, given the current dynamics on the Supreme Court and in U.S. civic/political life?
