Criminal Justice
The intersectional approach in criminology argues that people’s experiences are shaped by “unique combinations” of their race, gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual identity and other identities. These combinations create various forms of disadvantage and discrimination. Drawing from the readings for this week, reflect on how people are treated differently based on their race, ethnicity, nationality and immigration status by the criminal justice system and other institutions cross-nationally. What are the consequences of such differential treatment?
Please, make sure your answer is at least 150 words long and you need to cite at least two readings/course materials for this week in APA style.
