This week we explore student diversity as well as individuals with exceptional needs. The Bible has much to say regarding how we think, how we act, and how we respond (to other people, to circumstances we face, to situations we encounter, and to ourselves) all throughout life. As we reflect on the Fruit of the Spirit (New International Version, 1978/2011, Galatians 5:22-23), are those qualities evident in the way that we approach other people? Are those qualities evident in the way that we approach circumstances and situations we face? Are we ourselves continuing to grow in each of these areas? We need to be a good example to follow. Review the article, “Promoting Justice in the Classroom: Looking Beyond the Label to See the Individual,” in the Learn section of Module 6: Week 6 and respond to it by sharing ways in which we can approach all learners from a Christian perspective.
