Hi, we here at DresslikeJuju are so excited to share the information regarding our upcoming Fortnight Festival. Our upcoming festival will be held within our store off Bond St and Lafayette St in SOHO New York, and the festival will run for a duration of two weeks, starting April 12th and ending on the Monday of April 26th. For this years Fortnight Festival we've chosen to honor three great designers across the vast history of fashion and have incorporated them into the store by giving each designer their own respective sales departments within the store that will be selling apparel and accessories from numerous contemporary brands that we feel depict and display a contribution to fashion given to us by one of the great designers. We hope in doing this promotion; we bring attention to the aspects of fashion that are granted to the world through each of these designers. Each department will also be stylized independently from our original store aesthetic in order to capture and display the vibe of each designer. The three designers we have chosen to honor during this year's festival are Rei Kawakubo, Valentino, and Jean-Paul Gaultier. Rei Kawakubo was selected because of her great sense of innovation and her no fear way of thinking when it came to experimentation in how she could alter body silhouettes and the structure of garments. Valentino was chosen because of the timeless elegance and beauty he brings and showcases through his use of silk, frill, drapery, and ruffle in his garments and his embrace of femininity that we as a store think is especially important to celebrate and acknowledge. Lastly, Jean-Paul Gaultier is being honored for the wave of new-age thinking he brought to fashion through his use of distorting and reworking of classic fashion motifs and garments structures as well as for the overall gull and wonder that his work embodies. During the festival we plan to offer a promotion we like to call "Fashion beyond borders" in which if a customer buys a piece from one great designer department, they will receive 15% of that purchase off of a purchase from either of the remaining great designer departments.
